Frozen Rescue

Scout frozen creatures before the Cold Snap thaws to bank up to 9,000 Badges every week — one of Season 3's most rewarding repeatable events.

1. What Frozen Rescue Is

Frozen Rescue is a Season 3 event that runs for the entire season. It typically begins on the first Monday of Season 3 and stays active until the season ends.

The event works much like the treasures you collect through the Radar, with one key difference: instead of sending a tank to the target, you scout the frozen creature. The more players that scout a creature, the quicker it thaws out and releases its reward.

2. How the Cold Snap Works

Open the Season 3 (S3) icon and select the Frozen Rescue tab. There you will find a countdown timer for the next Cold Snap.

  1. When the Cold Snap begins, frozen creatures appear on the map.
  2. These creatures are only available until the Cold Snap ends, so act while the window is open.
  3. Scout the frozen creatures to thaw them and claim your reward.
Tip: When you spot a frozen creature you want, share it in your alliance chat. The more members that scout it, the faster it thaws.

3. Creatures and Rewards

There are four different creatures, and each one gives its own reward:

CreatureReward
BoarDiamonds (approximately 300)
Fox200 Orange Skill Books
Mammoth2 Universal Equipment Fragments
Stag300 Badges
Important: Stags are the recommended choice. Badges are a high-value, hard-to-stockpile Season 3 currency, which makes the Stag's reward the most impactful target for most players.

4. Limits and Weekly Schedule

Frozen Rescue is capped and only runs on certain days, so plan around the limits to avoid missing rewards.

  • You can complete a maximum of 10 rescues per day.
  • The event runs from Monday until Wednesday each week.
  • That gives a maximum of 30 rescues per week.
Warning: Because the event only runs Monday to Wednesday, it is easy to forget. Log in early in the window so you can spread your 30 weekly rescues across all three days.

5. Why Badges Add Up

If you focus on Stags and hit your weekly cap, the totals compound quickly. At 300 Badges per Stag and 30 rescues per week, that is 9,000 Badges per week.

Across a full 12-week season, that comes to 108,000 Badges — a substantial haul that every player can benefit from. Even if you cannot always reach the cap, a steady weekly habit makes a real difference by the end of the season.

6. Summary

  • Scout frozen creatures during each Cold Snap window before it ends.
  • Pick your reward by creature: Boar (Diamonds), Fox (Skill Books), Mammoth (Equipment Fragments), Stag (Badges).
  • Stags and their Badges are the recommended priority for most players.
  • Play Monday to Wednesday, up to 10 rescues a day, for 30 per week.
  • Share creatures in alliance chat to thaw them faster and never miss the weekly window.
