Looking After Your Mental Health

By Blek (Blake - bddc.co.uk) ·

It's OK not to be OK — and you never have to deal with it alone.
If you are in immediate danger, or worried you might act on thoughts of harming yourself, call your local emergency number now. Emergency numbers for each country are listed with the helplines below.

Please Talk to Somebody

This is a game guide site, but some things matter far more than any game. No matter who you are — man, woman, or however you identify — if you're struggling with your mental health, please talk to somebody.

It doesn't have to be a big conversation. It could be a friend, a family member, your doctor, someone in your alliance you trust, or one of the free helplines below, where trained people will listen without judging you. Reaching out isn't a weakness — it's one of the bravest and strongest things you can do.

Men in particular are often less likely to ask for help, and are more likely to keep things bottled up. If that sounds like you: talking helps, and you deserve support just as much as anyone else.

And if someone in your alliance seems to be going through a hard time, check in on them. A simple “are you OK?” can mean more than you know.

Keep the Game in Its Place

Last Z is built to keep you coming back — timers, events, rallies at all hours. That's fine in moderation, but it's easy for a game to take more than it gives. A few habits that help:

  • Set a daily time limit and stick to it. Your phone can do it for you: Screen Time on iPhone, or Digital Wellbeing on Android.
  • Protect your sleep. No event, rally or shield timer is worth setting an alarm for at 3am night after night.
  • Take proper breaks — step away, go outside, see people, eat a proper meal.
  • Put real life first. Work, school, family and friends come before the game. Any good alliance will understand — and if yours doesn't, it isn't a good alliance.
  • Notice how you feel. If the game is leaving you stressed, anxious or low rather than entertained, that's a sign to take a step back.

Spend Sensibly

Last Z is free to play, and you can enjoy it without spending a penny. If you do spend:

  • Set a budget before you play, and decide it when you're calm — not in the middle of an event.
  • Never spend money you need for bills, food, rent or anything else that matters.
  • Don't chase. Random rewards and limited-time offers are designed to make you want “just one more”. Walking away is always allowed.
  • Turn on purchase protection. Require a password for every purchase in the App Store or Google Play, and use spending limits or parental controls where they help.
  • Watch out for the signs — hiding spending, spending more than you meant to, or feeling guilty or anxious about it.

If spending feels out of control, please talk to someone. In the UK, the National Gambling Helpline (GamCare) is free and open 24/7 on 0808 8020 133, with live chat at gamcare.org.uk. Elsewhere, any of the helplines above can point you in the right direction.

We're Mental Health Advocates

Blake and Z Tools are proud mental health advocates. Behind every account in this game is a real person, and that person matters far more than any power score, rank or event result. We'd much rather you logged off and looked after yourself than pushed through for one more reward.

If this page helps even one person reach out, it has done its job. Look after yourselves — and look after each other.
