Increasing Your Tank Troop Capacity
Bigger marches win more fights – here is every system that adds troops to your tanks.
1. Where Troop Capacity Comes From
If your marches feel small, the fix is rarely a single upgrade. In Last Z: Survival Shooter, your troop capacity is the sum of bonuses from seven different systems, and most players are leaving large numbers on the table simply because they never check all of them.
The seven categories that contribute to troop capacity are:
- Hero Levels
- Hero Stars
- Hero Skills
- Research
- Structures
- Decorations
- Hall of Honour
Work through each one below. Every section adds up, and the late-game systems in particular can transform the size of your marches.
2. Heroes: Levels, Stars and Skills
The first three categories all come down to one principle: the stronger your heroes get, the more troops they can lead. Raising a hero's level, stars and skills each increases the capacity of the march that hero commands.
3. Research
A handful of research nodes directly raise troop capacity. Prioritise them once they become available in your tech trees.
| Research | Tree | Bonus |
|---|---|---|
| Cockpit | Hero Training | +20 troops per hero, permanently, once fully researched |
| Move Out! | Fully Armed Alliance | +500 troops per march, but only on Enemy Buster day, once fully researched |
Beyond these, no other research provides a troop capacity boost until you reach the Tactical Master tree, so do not expect further gains from research in the early and mid game.
4. Structures: Faction Buildings
Each hero faction has its own building that grants extra troops per hero for that faction:
| Building | Faction |
|---|---|
| Toxic Garden | Blood Rose |
| Dawn Tower | Wings of Dawn |
| Order Hall | Guard of Order |
The key threshold is level 26. Up to that point, each level adds 1 extra troop per hero. From level 26 onward, every level adds 5 extra troops per hero instead.
5. Decorations
The Guard of Order decorations – bronze, silver and gold – provide extra troop capacity for all factions, not just Guard of Order. Currently, no other decorations give a troop capacity boost.
The catch is that the faction you receive from each decoration chest is random, so you cannot target the Guard of Order decorations directly. This is exactly why decorations are a long game: the only way to reliably accumulate them is to open decoration chests as often as possible.
6. Hall of Honour
The Hall of Honour is the deepest source of troop capacity, and it unlocks only once you have done the groundwork.
Unlocking the Hall
Getting all three faction buildings to level 20 unlocks the Hall of Honour. Once a hero reaches 5 stars, they can enter the Hall, where you upgrade them further using fragments.
The Troop-Capacity Heroes
Heroes in the Hall of Honour grant boosts to attack, defence and troop capacity for their faction. The ones that specifically raise troop count are:
| Hero | Faction |
|---|---|
| Vivian | Blood Rose |
| Christina | Wings of Dawn |
| Maria | Guard of Order |
Every time one of these heroes gains another 50 levels in the Hall of Honour, they grant even more extra troops per march. The maximum level they can reach is tied to the level of the faction buildings themselves, which gives you yet another reason to keep those buildings climbing.
7. Putting It All Together
No single system makes your marches large – the gains come from steadily improving all seven. As a practical priority order:
- Keep heroes levelled and your HQ ahead of the cap so nothing stalls.
- Finish the Cockpit research, and complete Move Out! for Enemy Buster day.
- Drive the three faction buildings toward level 30 to unlock the 5-per-level bonus.
- Open decoration chests relentlessly to farm Guard of Order pieces over time.
- Unlock and grind the Hall of Honour heroes – Vivian, Christina and Maria – in 50-level steps.
Explore each of these areas in your own account to read the exact numbers for your current levels. The systems stack, so the players with the biggest tanks are simply the ones who never neglect any single source of capacity.
