Season 2 Guide

By Dreads ·

Everything you need to know about Season 2 — Influence Points, new resources, buildings, heroes and the Glory War.

1. The Aim of the Season

A new mechanic: Influence Points (personal and alliance). The goal is to get both as high as possible. Points are gained by capturing resource tiles — higher level tiles grant more points.

Alliance rewards at the end of the season are based entirely on Influence Points. You also earn free badges and zent every 8 hours, scaling with your Influence Points.

2. New Resources

  • Sandsoul — looks like a cactus
  • Sapphire — looks like a big crystal in the ground

These tiles work differently: once captured, a tile is yours permanently until you give it up or someone removes you. To capture a tile, you fight zombies with a set Power level and Virus Resistance level (new mechanic).

Important: If you don't meet the required Virus Resistance, you'll deal much less damage and take much more. Your Virus Resistance is tied to your 4 Virus Lab buildings.

Always replace low-level tiles with higher ones as you progress. Each level provides noticeably more resources and Influence Points. Mines Melee is also a fast way to get Sandsouls and Sapphires.

3. New Buildings

The alliance builds 3 Alliance Centres. Each provides an area where players can build personal season 2 buildings. The 2nd and 3rd unlock at certain alliance Influence Point thresholds.

Note: An Alliance Centre must be built BEFORE any personal buildings can be placed.

Personal season 2 buildings and their boosts:

BuildingBoost
Virus LabsVirus Resistance
Land AgencyNumber of resource tiles you can hold
Military FortressTroop attack
Defensive BaseTroop defence
Strategic BarracksTroops in your marches

Virus Labs are the main priority. Keep Virus Lab and Land Agency at similar levels to keep up with rising upgrade costs. Always build new season 2 buildings as soon as they unlock, and rebuild them immediately if destroyed.

4. New Builder

For £0.99, you can buy 1 extra builder for the whole season, exclusively for season 2 buildings. Not required — your existing builders work too — but it prevents slowing down your regular building progress.

5. Season Strategy

  1. Occupy resource tiles
  2. Collect resources
  3. Upgrade buildings
  4. Remove low-level tiles
  5. Occupy new, higher-level tiles
  6. Repeat steps 2–5

6. Glory War

A new weekly war (Tuesdays). Alliances are paired up and must destroy the enemy's Alliance Centre 1 and surrounding season 2 buildings.

Points for: destroying the Alliance Centre, destroying buildings, damage dealt, and killing troops. Non-participating alliances can help or interfere but won't earn points.

7. Glory War Strategy

Defence

Defending is easier — all defeated troops go to hospital (reinforcing or TvT). Heal in batches. Reinforce both the Alliance Centre and surrounding buildings.

Preparation

  • Place season 2 buildings in a big circle around the Alliance Centre (like Capital Clash grass defence)
  • Alternatively, place Alliance Centres near map edges/corners to restrict attack directions
  • Fill unowned Sandsoul/Sapphire tiles with buildings

Assault

  • Destroy a line of enemy buildings to create a path to their Alliance Centre
  • Attack from the side with the fewest buildings
  • Destroyed buildings can't be replaced for 4 hours
  • Attacking the Centre costs 5 fuel per attack and works like attacking a city
Remember: Your Alliance Centre is only as strong as the shortest path to it. Attackers' troops will be killed (not hospitalised) when hitting buildings.

8. New Heroes

6 new heroes with exclusive weapons, providing damage and HP boosts for each troop type. These heroes will be available to everyone at the end of the season (same as Season 1 tickets).

9. For Spenders

The Season Battle Pass (£24.99) lasts the whole season and significantly accelerates season 2 building growth. This is the most impactful single purchase for the season.
