Season 3 Guide

By Dreads ·

Welcome to the Everfrost Era — badges galore, new enemies, fishing, and a snowman to build.

1. Season Aim

Very similar to Season 2 — except instead of Influence Points, we will be collecting Glory Points. There will also be another 4-state leaderboard for us to compete in.

All game mechanics from Season 2 continue into Season 3, with the exception of tiles — you will be able to earn many, many badges this season, so make sure you take advantage of this.

2. Zombies & Boomers (Replaced)

Zombies and Boomers are now a thing of the past. They are replaced by:

Season 2Season 3
ZombiesSnow Leopards
BoomersFrost Banes

Both now go up to level 60 and your Virus Resistance is used to fight the higher levels, instead of tiles.

Killing each level rewards its own Glory Points, so it's key that you kill one of each level (one Leopard and one Bane) over the course of the season. Being involved in someone else's rally will count towards your rewards.

3. Buildings

Buildings remain largely the same, except for 2 key changes:

  1. Single Lab (Biolab) — you will only have 1 lab, and this is the only building through which you can increase your Virus Resistance.
  2. 4 Smart Greenhouses (5th available via Wartime Investment) — these passively produce one of the Season 3 resources. As you level them up, you earn higher amounts passively.

4. Resources

ResourceHow to Obtain
Frost CoresKill Snow Leopards and Frost Banes. You can only receive Frost Cores from the first 15–30 enemies killed per day. Focus on Banes first each day, as they give higher amounts.
Ice BloomsProduced passively by your Smart Greenhouses over time.

5. Strategy

You need to reach the level 60 Snow Leopards and Frost Banes as quickly as possible, for Glory Points and increased resource income.

  1. Biolab first — increase your Virus Resistance so you can fight and kill level 60s
  2. Smart Greenhouses — level these up for resource income
  3. Other buildings — focus on these afterwards

6. Special Events

Frozen Rescue (Monday–Wednesday weekly)

Cold Snaps randomly appear and frozen creatures spawn. Scout them to defrost them — more players scouting speeds up the process. Once thawed, claim rewards (limited per creature — fastest finger first!).

You can rescue up to 10 creatures per day. There are 4 types:

CreatureReward
BoarsDiamonds
FoxesOrange Skill Books
MammothsUniversal Equipment Fragments
StagsBadges (300 per rescue — up to 9,000 badges per week!)
Warning: Unattended creatures will shatter and despawn immediately when the Cold Snap ends. Thawed creatures last a little longer — be quick!

Hunter Yeti (Daily)

A new NPC that roams the map. Significantly stronger than other NPCs — you'll need to work together to kill them. They give personal Glory Points, so everyone should participate with their alliance daily.

  • Monday–Saturday: 2 Yetis per day
  • Sunday: 5 Yetis — perfect for Peace Day

Killing a Yeti can also randomly spawn another NPC for bonus rewards.

Snowman Mania (Daily)

Collect snowballs and snowflakes by completing daily tasks to build your snowman up to level 20. This unlocks a base decoration that you keep after the season ends.

You can also clear snow layers off other alliance HQs after a blizzard to gain extra snowflakes.

Proliferation (Mid-Season onwards)

Starts around halfway into the season. Once active, you earn double Frost Cores from all Snow Leopards and Frost Banes for the rest of the season. This greatly boosts your building upgrade rate.

7. Cross-State Events

State Ruler and Glory Wars continue as they are.

Arctic Icepit (New PvP Event)

Alliances compete for control over Icepits by taking down the pit boss before any other alliance, or by dealing the most damage.

LevelBossDayTime
1Frost WardenMonday11:00 server time
2Chiller ChiefWednesday11:00 server time
3Sovereign of SnowFriday11:00 server time

Each level is available once per week on its allotted day. The event lasts 1 hour. The first event will be in State 277; following events rotate to other states in the Season 3 group.

Fishing

Once an alliance controls a pit, players can fish in it to catch fish specific to that pit level. The controlling alliance has a higher chance of catching rare fish.

  • Fill your Fishing Index for awesome rewards as you progress
  • Gift duplicate fish to other players to help each other complete the Index
  • Collecting Fishing Passes rewards the alliance with Red Packets containing 10,000 diamonds at certain milestones

Looting Opportunity

Any player from any of the 4 states who puts their HQ near the Icepits will be vulnerable to attack. This grants 3 extra looting opportunities per week on top of Enemy Buster.

Tip: Use these opportunities to fill your loot limit using other states' players — this hurts their growth instead of our own. But be careful you don't get looted at the same time!

8. Heroes

3 new heroes will be added in Season 3 — 1 for each faction. The new heroes work in tandem with the Season 2 heroes, so separating your squads by faction becomes even more beneficial.

9. Hero Swap

A brand new feature in Season 3. You can swap stars, skill levels, and hero level between 2 heroes of your choice (all 3 must be swapped together — you cannot pick and choose).

This is very handy for recycling materials spent on a hero you no longer use, transferring them to a new hero when you unlock or buy one.

10. Looking Ahead to Season 4

Season 3 can bring a large amount of badges and gold hero fragments if you participate regularly. You could potentially finish the season with up to 1 million badges (approximately 750,000 for free-to-play players).

Important: Season 4 (Jurassic Era) will make you work significantly harder for badges and gold hero fragments. While there are even more badges on offer, they are considerably harder to obtain. So spend Season 3 getting as many as you can — take advantage of rewards that are easier to earn now. You will get an enormous power boost over the course of the season if you do.
