Vault Master
Vault Master is a high-value skill in the Support Mastery Tree of the Mastery Hall. Once activated, you can summon an Alliance Vault that your alliance members attack to plunder Food, Wood or Zent.
Where it lives in the Mastery Hall
- Tree: Support Mastery Tree. The same tree holds the Construction, Research and Vault buffs — pick Support over Combat if you want all three.
- Cost: save up 5 Mastery Points and spend them on this skill to max it out and activate it.
- Cooldown: once activated, the Vault skill has a strict 1-week cooldown per player.
How attacks work
- An open vault can be attacked by alliance members to plunder its resources.
- Each player is limited to 2 attacks per day-window. The daily cap refreshes at server reset, which is what makes the 15‑minute‑before‑reset trick work (see below).
- Players must hold the matching resource plunder licence — e.g. if a Zent Vault is open, anyone without a Zent licence cannot attack it.
- If you have already hit your daily plunder limit elsewhere, you cannot collect from an active vault either.
Optimal activation timing
Because each player gets 2 hits per daily window, the goal is to schedule the vault so it spans two windows — doubling everyone's haul from 2 hits to 4.
- 15 minutes before server reset. Most popular. Active players take 2 hits before reset, then 2 more immediately after — 4 collections instead of 2.
- Post-event windows. Activate right after Canyon Clash or The Tyrant — alliance is already online and ready to pile in.
- Monday before Shelter Upgrade focus. Opens the week with extra resources, which feeds straight into VS Duel Day 2 (Construction) scoring.
💡 Tips & tricks
- Hold one licence per resource type. You usually don't know which resource your R4/R5 will open until they post it — if you only stockpile, say, Food licences, you'll sit out half the rotation.
- Pair vault days with daily targets. Use the Calendar to line vault windows up with your gather/march dailies so you're online anyway when the vault opens.
- Pin the vault location in Discord. If you're hosting, drop a screenshot with the world coordinates so members can teleport or rally without hunting for you on the map.
- Don't burn your daily plunder cap beforehand. If the vault opens at 23:45 server time and you've already plundered to cap looting solos earlier in the day, you get zero from the pre‑reset window.
- Stagger across the alliance. Up to 7 R3+ players can each run their own vault on rotation — if everyone respects their 1‑week personal cooldown, the alliance has a vault open most days. Coordinate in Discord, not in alliance chat (so rivals can't read the schedule).
- Avoid low‑activity hours. The 4‑collection trick only works if enough members are online for both windows. Don't open a vault at 03:00 your alliance's timezone — you'll lose half the hits.
- Save Mastery Reset Tickets. They're scarce. Don't burn one to fix a casual mis‑pick — save them for the rare case where season reset puts you in the wrong tree and you genuinely need to swap mid‑season.
⚠ Common pitfalls
- Licence mismatch. Opening a Zent vault when half the alliance only holds Food/Wood licences — participation drops, host's cooldown is wasted.
- Plunder-cap burn. A member loots heavily during the day, then can't collect from the evening vault. Flag the vault time early so members save their cap.
- Wrong tree at season reset. Mastery paths reset at the start of a new season (e.g. entering Season 3). If you accidentally pick the Combat Tree, you lose access to Construction, Research and Vault buffs until you swap back with a Mastery Reset Ticket.
- Forgetting to re‑allocate after season start. Your old picks don't carry over — check the Mastery Hall in the first 24 hours of a new season.
